Before you get in touch
A first physiotherapy appointment at The RNB Clinic runs for about forty five minutes and is mostly assessment. Your physiotherapist will ask how the problem started, what makes it better or worse, and how it affects your work, sleep and daily routine. You will be asked to move through some simple tests so we can see which movements are restricted or painful. Treatment usually begins in the same session once we have a working picture of the problem.
What to bring
- Any X-ray, MRI, CT or ultrasound reports relating to the problem.
- A list of medicines you take, including painkillers and supplements.
- Discharge or operation notes if you have had recent surgery.
- Loose clothing, or shorts and a vest, so the area can be examined and moved comfortably.
- Your usual footwear, and any orthotics or braces you wear.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. You can book directly with us without a referral. If your assessment suggests the problem needs medical investigation rather than physiotherapy, we will tell you plainly and recommend you see a doctor first. That happens sometimes and it is the right outcome when it does.
Clinic hours and location
The clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. We are in Lalpur, Ranchi. Appointments are recommended, as walk-in availability depends on the day. If you need to cancel or move an appointment, please give us as much notice as you can so the slot can go to someone else.
What we cannot do over the phone
We are glad to answer questions about services, timings and what a session involves. We cannot diagnose a problem or prescribe exercises over the phone or by message, because both depend on a physical assessment. If your symptoms are severe or getting rapidly worse, please contact a doctor rather than waiting for an appointment with us.
The information on this page is general guidance about attending the clinic and is not medical advice. Individual assessment, treatment and recovery times vary from person to person.
